Who Is Jesus?

He is the eternal God, Creator of all things

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... All things were made by him: and without was not any thing made that was made." JOhn 1:1, 3

He Became a man to reveal the father to us

"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father), full of grace and truth." John 1:14

He became a man to be the final sacrifice for sin

"The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world." John 1:29

he predicted that he would raise himself from the dead

"Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up... But he spake of the temple of his body."  John 2:19, 21

He died that those who trust in him will have eternal life

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."  John 3:16

those who trust in him find spiritual satisfaction

"Whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but shall... be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life."  John 4:14

those who trust in him are spared the penalty of death

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on Him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life."  John 5:24

those who trust in him will not be cast out

"All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out." John 6:37

neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.  Acts 4:12

who is Jesus
